 How to TEST Syslog working 

Try below command on Switch to send the Syslog Message testing 

Switch_New#send log 5 Hello All

your will see below logs in switch created  

Feb 24 14:40:57: %SYS-7-USERLOG_DEBUG: Message from tty4(user id: testnwrw): HELLO ALL

Feb 24 14:40:59: %SYS-7-USERLOG_DEBUG: Message from tty4(user id: testnwrw): HELLO ALL

Feb 24 14:42:28: %SYS-0-USERLOG_EMERG: Message from tty4(user id: testnwrw): Hello
