AIR-AP3802I-E-K9 ACCESS POINT POE TROUBLESHOOTING

 

Customer Reported :  AP not working , AP is Up and running

Analysis :

LOGS on ACCESS POINT

Nov 22 08:27:05 brain: Power mode: Degraded/Reduced Power, power_detection: DC_adapter(FALSE), 802.3AF_POE(TRUE)

Nov 22 08:27:06 brain: Restart POE negotiation

Nov 22 08:27:07 brain: CDP PoE negotiation START

Nov 22 08:27:07 brain: CDP PoE negotiation FAILED !!

Nov 22 08:27:07 brain: LLDP PoE negotiation START

This logs shows AP lost the External DC adapter and fall on POE but POE Switch is not capable to give sufficient power due to which it shutdown/Admin down its Radio’s

SOLUTION:

 

Need POE+ Switch or external DC adapter.
